Each year, approximately 17,000 students earn IU degrees. Many graduates and their loved ones attend Commencement ceremonies, held each May on all eight IU campuses and each December at IU Bloomington. In conjunction with the Office of University Ceremonies, the IU Alumni Association oversees Commencement planning and activities. The IUAA also sponsors an interfaith Baccalaureate service at IU Bloomington prior to the May Commencement.
