Bette Davenport, a native of Indianapolis and IU alumna, was the alumni director of the IU East campus from 1985-2004. During her tenure, she chartered the IU East Alumni Association and worked closely with many IU graduates, community groups, students, and IU- and IUAA-affiliated organizations. Following her retirement from IU East, she began serving as the staff liaison to both the Eastern Indiana and Henry County alumni chapters.
