Most IUAA chapters have websites which promote their various activities and programs. Obviously, it's a great way to advertise the chapter itself, upcoming events and activities, scholarship opportunities, or anything related to IU!

Chapter websites vary from city-to-city, but most carry a similar look and feel. The IU Alumni Association creates and manages most alumni chapter websites. For samples of outstanding chapter websites, click here.

How Do I Create a Chapter Website through IUAA?
It's easy! Simply contact your chapter director to get the process started, and visit other chapter websites to generate additional ideas for your chapter's website. The chapters staff can advise you regarding what is important to include, and what is permissible. After you contact the staff, you will need to write material for various sections of the website and submit those to the Chapters Online Request Center. Most chapter websites include some or all of the following sections:

How Do I Update a Chapter Website?
Each time a chapter wishes to update or create a chapter website, they simply submit changes, text, or photos to the Chapters Online Request Center. It's easy! Simply select your chapter's name from the pull-down menu, and submit your updates or other information to be posted on the website. From there, your updates will be made by our staff and posted to your site. Once your website update is submitted to the Request Center, IUAA can typically make the change within 3-5 business days.

Chapter Website Fees
Having a website for your alumni chapter is a great way to publish information quickly and inexpensively. 63 chapters have websites hosted and maintained by the IU Alumni Association. If your chapter needs a website, and you would like the IUAA to create and maintain it for you, we have some simple fees associated with that service.


The IUAA charges an annual fee to maintain and host any chapter website. We also charge a fee to create new chapter websites, or to add new pages to an existing site. The fees associated with all services are listed below. We believe these fees are competitive with the industry standards for website maintenance and development.

  • To maintain and host a chapter website:
    Annual Website Fee: $150 per year

  • To create or redesign a new chapter website:
    New Website Fee: $125 per year

  • To add a new page to an existing chapter website:
    New Website Page: $25 per new page
