IU Cares Month Planning Guide

Plan Your Service ProjectStep 3 of 6

The majority of our chapters already plan and execute successful community service projects throughout the calendar year. However, this April, IU Cares Month, we want you to try and think of something innovative, unique, and creative! Partner with a local charitable organization that is unique to your community. Design a grassroots service project and make it your own! Think outside the box, think big…see how IU can make a difference in your community!

***In-state Chapters (in regional campus areas) – Mark down Saturday, April 19th! This day will be a specific day for all chapters in state to carry out a service project. We are working with all campuses in Indiana to partner on this day, as well as Student Alumni Association (SAA) and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) at IUPUI to bring teams of students to in-state chapters to work alongside the alumni on projects.

Remember: Once you have your project planned, share the details and the number of persons that can participate. Again, this is especially important to those in-state chapters near a regional campus, where teams of students are being organized to help the chapter with the project.
