Why I chose IU
I was attending college in Texas and returned to Indiana to spend the summer with my family.
I met some people from IU Southeast and learned more about the school.
I heard very positive things about the IUS political science program,
so I transferred and earned my undergraduate degree from there.
The political science instructors were excellent, and I enjoyed
my experience on campus very much.
Favorite memories of IU
Euchre in the student activities office area ranks very high on my list!
I had a lot of friends in the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and we always
managed to find fun things to do. My instructors were always encouraging
me to reach higher and be more conscientious about my academic work.
Advice to undergraduates
Show self respect by developing a great work ethic. Too often, people
can become satisfied when they have delivered a mediocre work product.
To set high standards for yourself — and then observe them — is to tell the
world that you matter!
Why the IU Alumni Association is important to me
Retaining a connection to one of the best times of my life makes the Alumni Association
a worthy investment.
